Let me offer Thee my all, O Lord,
my each and every breath,
my thoughts, my moments,
my attention, my joy,
accept Thou my offerings
and bless me aplenty
that what’s left of my life
can be dedicated in Thy service
forever more.

DAYS OF JUDGMENT.

Those days of judgment
promised by scriptures all
are surely here upon,
when angels and demons
together get mixed up
in various shades and in form.

With eyes of flesh
if we persist to see
it looks all so pertubed,
but when we let spirit
enlighten our vision
in a trice what’s mixed up
appears so clear and crisp.

These days from which
there is just no escape
you can neither dodge nor run,
all tricks you’ve played 
to keep it hidden so far
lose their potent spell
as everything gets debunked.

Your very own actions betray yourself
as that which was hidden for long
comes out in the open 
as it  now gets  exposed
for all to behold and to see,
all the music that sounded
so melodious till now
turns out to be noisy for sure.

THE APOCALYPSE.

Behold the Rider of the Apocalypse
coming before his predicted time,
invited by the evil designs of those
who wish to bring down on this fair earth
the kingdom of devil in lieu of one of God.
The destruction He will wreck
in the form of a confrontation
between one evil and the other
is of misguided man’s own choosing
when he chose to lure evil
instead of forgiving.

I PLEAD GUILTY FROM TIME TO TIME.

I plead guilty from time to time
when I have judged others in relation
to those standards of mine,
for now I see that each of us
sees only from that point
where one is placed
along the long path of eternal time.
Each one’s got to grow by his own free will
using his own discretionary will,
choosing between right or wrong,
siding the grey darkness or the silvery light,
one either brightens or mars one’s chances
of reaching the end
keeping the goal well in sight.

THE LONGING.

Mother, still Thou this longing within my heart
to annihilate myself and completely mingle with Thee
like an essence within the dough.

And yet I also long to stay where I am placed
to lend my insignificant hand to Thee
in the great battle that Thou have waged
against the forces of dark
which threaten and loom above
planning to destroy the good for good.

Guide me oh my Mother and show me the path
wherein my true destiny lies
for I wish no escape from my apportioned duties
that Thou have planned as my share
for in offering myself completely to Thee
my true salvation lies !

PRAYER FOR THE NEW MILLENEUM.

Let us pray that the day is not too far
when our spirits blend and the souls unite
for that’s the day for which we are born
through a series of births through eternal time.

So long as we live in our bodies and minds
conflicts and differences will ever remain
however much we may long for or pray
as we miss out on ‘being’ and go further away
from the utopia that we all seek to find
where peace, serenity and brotherhood hold sway.

It’s only when we give up on our subtle balloons
and seek our answers from deep down within
we’ll know that the outside pleasures after which we run
and mistake it for our happiness, content and fun
are simply a mesh in which we get caught
pulling us down and not letting us escape
to reach out to true joy, true brotherhood
and a great big world we can
proudly claim as our own !

THE TRUTH AND CALL FOR PEACE.

Far sighted vision is a blessing
gifted to only a few
if the blind start to lead the sighted
what a mess the world would be in !

In the interest of a larger good
small has sometimes got to be sacrificed
ponder on Sri Krishna’s message to mankind
forget to just think and depend on your mind.
 
Issues have got to be divorced from their particulars
and seen only in their ultimate truth
misplaced pity is far different from true compassion
for what is apparent is not what it seems !
 
Real lasting peace is never achieved by soft-pedalling
it’s got to be attained with strong right measures
that may look cruel,inhuman,wrong in their face,
most arrogant,outrageous,with an holocaustic pace.
 
Leave it to the sighted and simply
lend them your support,
for what they do,
is done only under God’s Divine Grace !

NO MAN IS AN ISLAND.

No man is an island, they say
and how narrowly I understood
its deep meaning till today,
but when the lotus bloomed
and peeped out of its chink
it made me soon realize
as I stopped, to think
how I am the universe
and it is in me
how every leaf, every bud,
every flower, every blossom
blooms within me !

ENJOYMENT OF TRUE BLISS.

It is only when this earthen pot of mine
loses the consciousness of its shape
and seeks to let it be reshaped with fresh clay
at the hands of the Master Potter
that it doth enjoy the bliss of its own existence.
It is only when it discovers beauty being wedded to joy
and cannot bear its separation,
when it springs to life at the sheer touch
of the Master Craftsman who moulds it
that it can mingle with the joy
and feels its divine presence !

BRIDGE OF MERCY.

Open the windows of my heart, my Lord
as wide as its hinges can take it
Let Thy effulgent sunlight pour its beams
of sunshine in all the dark recesses and
enlighten its each and every chink and nook.

Open the gates of my mind, oh Lord
as wide as the width of its size
Let Thy cool bright light permeate
with its radiance and luminescence and
enlighten its each and every part and cell.

With Thy bridge of mercy, oh my Lord
conjoin my enlightened heart and mind
that may they blend and harmonize
and mesh together in free interplay.
