THOU WENT TO THE CROSS

Thou went to the cross to appease our collective ego,
what more proof do we need of Thy great love for us ?
What appears as supreme sacrifice was no sacrifice for Thee,
for in Thy great magnanimity Thou tried to show a way.
It reflects not an iota on Thee that we
ignorant as we were could not perceive but see
what it was all about.
It was again Thy immense munificence
to descend once more, amidst the same dark bleakness
to show us where we went astray.
Lord, it could be only
who could show us the futility of empty pray.
O Mother of mine, let Thy flock who now see the light
remain forever at Thy Lotus Feet
and wherefrom help to spread Thy Light
to quarters yet in dark !

CHILDREN OF ONE GOD

We are all children of one God
Why can’t we understand the simplicity of this ?
In the name of this very God,
ruining and isolating, tearing all to bits.
Brothers and sisters of same parentage are we
then why should we not acknowledge what should be.
True, some have gone astray, siding with the dark,
but it’s just not human, not to let them repent
and hopefully cross over to the part
brimming with light, love and bliss,
rather than shove them in eternal darkness,
from where there is no return from bleakness !

ODE TO OUR NATION.

When thousands of human lives are sacrificed daily

at the altar of stubborn obduracy,

I cannot reconcile myself

to the concern of those who choose
to weigh in the same balance
human lives against the crisis
facing the economy.

Has mankind become so very degraded,
stooped to such low abyssal depths,
that the economy which should work
for the good of humanity,
has today replaced mankind
in the eyes of the same humanity ?

Today, the impotent nation
simply stands and stares at
all the travesty and devastation carried out
in the name of truth, progress and justice,
and does not want to do anything
to stop this grave injustice.

THY WILL BE DONE.

“Thy will be done” is so true today,
the drama has got to be staged
on this world’s great empty stage.
The evil through and through
has got to be destroyed, along with it
why the apparently innocent have to suffer
only Thou would know.
The Divine Plan, we should not question,
we should not even try to fathom,
but still I venture to implore Thee —
O Lord, please contain Thou Thy wrath,
give one last chance to Thy children astray,
and light their way, to find their way back home !

TRUST & SURRENDER.

How true it is today that those whom
the gods wish to destroy
they first drive mad !
How can a pot aspire to know
the moods of the potter ?
What shape will it finally take
in the hands which mould it ?
So this restless heart of mine,
soothe yourself and learn to trust
that the Master Potter will never allow
the wet clay to turn again to dust.
Whatever the God is,
He is ever just !

THE MESSIAH.

Thou art the Mother and none other,
Thou art the Comforter
promised by all the scriptures,
the Messiah of the future.
Thou art the Holy Ghost
come to awaken the souls
from their deepest slumbers
towards the ultimate goal,
felt deep within the being,
but lost in consciousness
out of all seeing !
